23 1 2010An interview with Jiří Komorous, the first home office deputy.
What do you like about South Moravia?
I like riding a motorbike and what I like about South Moravia are its winding roads boarded-flanked with vineyards. It’s an experience being able to go round enjoying the scenery. Weather conditions are usually mild and warm here which is something the majority of bikers will enjoy. I don’t know how it is possible but it is always sunny here. Also, the proximity of Slovakian and Austrian borders is a real bonus for those who want to travel.
Do you like any particular place?
The Lednice-Valtice area and the Pálava hills. I recently visited, together with Black Dogs bikers, one of their bikers’ gatherings at Mušov lake and it was fantastic. There is so much to do for everyone here. Just think of all those numerous chateaus and parks.
Do you get inspired here?
I find inspiration to stop and contemplate. I slow down and relax here. I also drink wine , only moderately, of course.
Is there anything you miss here?
I don’t miss anything here apart from a slightly hillier countryside with pine forests.
