The lovers of wine can not simply pass through Lednice-Valtice area without stopping at the wine tasting exposition of the Wine Salon of Czech Republic at the Valtice chateau. This exhibition of Czech viticulture introduces the best 100 wines that were awarded with the title-label “Wine salon of the Czech Republic.” National competition of Moravian and Czech wines “Wine salon of the Czech Republic” is the top, most reputable, highest wine competition in the Czech Republic and it tops the system of other nominating competitions. An independent committee of wine tasters anually chooses the best 100 wines that are later presented at this public tasting exposition of the National Wine Centre at the Valtice Chateau. Here visitors have an opportunity to choose one of the wine tasting programmes, either an open, 90 minute tasting with a chance to taste almost all presented wines, or a supervised programme by a sommelier. All presented wines are available for sale. The Wine Salon also offers various sommelier goods-accessories as well as information leaflets-materials about wine.
It is open all year round except February when a new exposition is prepared.

Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30 to 17:00, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 to 18:00, during tourist season (June-September) also on Sundays from 10:30 to 17:00.
